Maintenance Agreements

With a Komatsu maintenance contract agreement you outsource your maintenance requirements to us and in return have a guaranteed hourly operating cost and assured equipment reliability. Whether you own a single machine or manage a large fleet, our contract agreement options help you maximise the life cycle of your valuable assets.

What Komatsu maintenance contract agreements cover:

Komatsu contract maintenance agreements provide you with access to Komatsu-trained service technicians, state-of-the-art component Remanufacturing and a comprehensive range of advanced condition monitoring services.

Contract terms range from 12 months to the entire life of the machine (subject to a five-yearly review). We offer a flexible but comprehensive suite of maintenance contracts which enables you to select the option best suited to your requirements.

Repair and Maintenance Programmes (MARC) 

Ideal for primary loading machines or entire fleets, this type of maintenance contract provides:

  • Full on-site management and maintenance labour for a fixed monthly fee
  • Parts covered under a fixed rate per hour for an agreed term (parts fee is calculated by multiplying the number of hours the machine has worked by the agreed fixed rate per hour)
  • Condition monitoring services, including Komatsu oil wear analysis
  • Specialist and general workshop tooling services
  • On-site maintenance vehicles
  • Utilisation of our  global information system which provides for the cost-effective planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities
  • Warranty management services
  • A dedicated point of contact with direct access to technical support
  • Agreed key performance indicators to ensure satisfaction
  • Optional services may include, bucket/body management, undercarriage monitoring and supply and repair of parts

KomCare KomCare

To further reduce the ownership and operating costs of your Komatsu equipment, our KomCare programme provides free scheduled maintenance for the first year or 1,500 hours (whichever comes first) on the following products:

  • Hydraulic Excavators (PC210-10M0, PC300-8, PC350LC-8)
  • Motor Graders (GD675-5)
  • Backhoe Loader (WB93R-5E0)

Items covered under the KomCare programme include:

  • Regular preventative maintenance servicing by Komatsu South Africa
  • Complete machine inspections and service reports
  • Komatsu oil wear analysis oil sampling
  • Technician labour
  • Proactive management and advance service scheduling
